Sig Tau Golf Tournament 2008

To all alumni, we have decided to try something a little different for golf tournament this year.  First of all, we pushed it back to June 14^th.  We understand that the actives have a very busy schedule for the remainder of the year, plus the trout fishing trip, and alumni float trip are also right around the corner.  Anyway, details are as follows:

When:  June 14^th   

Where: Bent Creek Golf Course    Jackson, MO

Time:  Tee times beginning at 10am

Format:  We are going to continue to do a 4-man scramble, however, we would like to have all teams predetermined.  Everyone can form their own 4-man team of alumni/actives.  There are many reasons for this:

1. We have been setting this tournament up for almost 8 years and there are always alumni that insist that the only way they will come is if they can play on their own team

2. It will be a good chance for alumni to be able to play with their pledge brothers once there and get to catch up on old times

3. Bent Creek needs to know an exact amount of tee times so it will be much more feasible to rely on one person letting me know that they are entering a team than each individual letting me know

We would also like to propose teams sending in their entry fee prior to tournament in order to reserve their tee time.  Cost per 4-man team is $240.  This is $60 per person and after green fees; it turns into a $15 deposit to the chapter.  Food and drink will not be provided this year.  We would like to get many people involved and come down this year and help decide on the best way of going about this in the future in terms of dates, frequency of tournament, location, and entry. 

We realize that it may be difficult to find 3 other golfers that you would like to play golf with.  If this is the case, let me know and I can compile a list and send that out for those to form their teams.  I know this may or may not be the best way of doing this, but we need to at least try something different.

Either way, this is going to be a good time.  If we start golf around 10, we can ALL be at the Pladium by around 3, which just so happens to be the same time the Cardinals’ game starts that day on Fox.  From there we can order pizza or do whatever we would like for supper.
