Letter to Sig Tau Alumni

It’s a great time to be a brother of Sigma Tau Gamma and a great time to be a part of the Alpha Phi Chapter of Sigma Tau Gamma Alumni Association. We have plans in the works for various events to be held in and around the St. Louis area throughout the year and hope that everyone makes every effort to attend and support these events. Dates and details of these events will be forthcoming, but here are the basics:
  1. 2nd Annual Sig Tau and Friends 4 man Scramble Golf tournament - Saturday, June 27th @ Ste. Genevieve Golf Club, there was a good turn out in 2014 and we hope to double it this year.  A flyer will be sent out soon for this event.
  2. Family picnic: as summer wears on it’s time for a picnic. Good food, games for the kids and an opportunity to interact with friends and families of fellow Sig Tau’s. We want to include everyone in this one.  More details to come.
  3. Homecoming - October 17, 2015:  The Triumphant 25 (fall 1990) pledge class is having a reunion in Cape during homecoming.  This is sure to be a good time!
  4. The annual Christmas/Holiday gathering (early December)
**We are gathering other ideas for another fundraiser.  If you have any ideas, please pass them on to us.
All proceeds from these events will be used to support the active chapter in a variety of ways including scholarship, education and activities. There are existing foundations through Sigma Tau Gamma nationally and the university as well as association options.
Recently, Tom Roy, Chapter Advisor, sent an update:
"The chapter has pretty good grades and is staying out of trouble".
This great news and a great summary from Tom! So now it’s our turn as alumni to step up and support the good work being done by the active chapter and Fraternity as a whole. Meanwhile, we can have some fun, meet and catch-up with fellow brothers and impact the lives of those following in our footsteps.

First Things First!
To join or renew your membership follow this link: http://www6.semo.edu/sigtau/alumni.html (preferred) for online support or send a check to: Alpha Phi Chapter Sigma Tau Gamma Alumni Assoc., 6426 Bradford Farms Dr., Imperial, MO 63052. Dues are $25 annually and due by the end of February each year. Please include your contact information.
Not in the area or unlikely to attend these events? Join anyway! The modest dues paid will be used for a good cause, and you will be kept in the loop of what’s going on. It’s a great way to show support for your Fraternity.
***Also, please forward this email and/or post the relevant information on your social media sources to other Sig Tau alumni. The most difficult task for the association is communication and outreach. Thanks!
