Primary Responsibilities of the

RPDC Math Consultant

• Regional team member to provide support and service to priority schools;

• Coordinate resources to improve student academic performance in mathematics in districts and/or schools as identified through data analysis and the priority school process;

• Work with school districts in staff development and curriculum issues related to mathematics education;

• Collaborate with RPDC personnel and other regional personnel associated with the RPDC;

• Collaborate with regional colleges and universities regarding undergraduate and graduate course content preparing teachers and administrators in working with students in the area of mathematics;

• Contribute ideas for future educational reform initiatives.
