Southeast Missouri State University's Purchasing Department was established to provide for the procurement of all commodities and services required for official University business and conform to all applicable statutes and regulations.  

The objective of the purchasing process is to acquire the needed commodities and services as economically as possible within specified standards of quality and service, while giving responsible suppliers fair consideration.

Southeast Missouri State University purchasing procedures are governed by the State of Missouri's procurement guidelines.
