Joining NSSLHA

Who is eligible to join?

NSSLHA membership is available to full or part time undergraduate and graduate students. Students joining the local chapter of NSSLHA are not members of national NSSHLA and are not eligible to receive benefits of national membership, however, local membership is available to anyone who has declared a major in communication disorders.


How do I join?

Annual dues are $25.  Dues should be given to Dr. Haims or Dr. Cook.


What are the benefits of joining NSSLHA?

Involvement of NSSLHA leads to a fuller appreciation of the profession of speech-language pathology and audiology and a greater awareness of the issues affecting the field. As a member of NSSLHA, you are entitled to:

  • Participate in social events such as the homecoming parade, picnics, etc.

  • Gain information about the profession through speakers and interactions with other students.

  • Participate in professional activities such as conventions, advocacy, and fundraising for charitable activities related to communication disorders.
