A. New location for bi-weekly open meetings is the Center for Student

   Involvement (CSI) at University Center, 2nd floor

1.  Conference rooms are available for reservation, laptops are available  

for checkout

2.  First open meeting is to be held Wednesday August, 30 at noon

 

B. Office space might be available at CSI for Semo Student Chapter to reserve

C. Student Organization Registration Informational August 28-September 1 at

12:15 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. University Center room 205

 IV. Goals for Fall 2006:  Establish Semo Student Chapter as a viable

organization through:

            A. Recruitment

                        1.  We need officers and an increase in general membership

                        2.  Plans to address recruiting

a. Be present and active at student organization fair on SEMO

campus Sep. 6.

b. Be present at all freshmen and sophomore social work classes in

Crisp Hall the first week of school to recruit.

3.       Establish a useful and lasting role for the Semo Student Chapter within the greater organization through

a.        Networking with MASW task forces

b.       Participating in the planning and executing of forums conducted by MASW task forces

c. Fundraising

                                    1. As membership increases, brainstorm about fundraising

 C. Develop a workable agenda for Spring 2007

D. Provide tools and “infrastructure” for the continuance of the Semo Student

Chapter in the absence of the current leadership with

1.       The Semo Student Chapter website

2.       Unique literature that promotes the Semo Student Chapter

3.       The fostering of better relations with the greater organization

4.       The establishment of clear, workable goals that define the responsibilities of the Student Chapter in order to help identify a viable niche for the Student Chapter within the greater organization in accord with MASW values and mission
