         The Mission of Our Office

Learning Assistance Programs are designed to teach skills and strategies to help students become independent and active learners, and to achieve academic success. Our programs target primarily first and second year students, and include the following voluntary services: University Tutorial, Scheduled Study Sessions, College Success Plans, and College Success Seminars. Learning Assistance Programs also collaborates with other offices on campus to support mandatory programs that include the following: Academic Enhancement Program and Academic Improvement Plans.

 

Disability Support Services is the institutionally recognized program designated to provide federally mandates services for students with disabilities, by ensuring equal access to curricular and co-curricular opportunities. Targets services provided include  academic accommodations for registered students with disabilities,  access to assistive technology, advocacy and mediation.

          Location & Hours

Students are encouraged to call 651-2273 or come into the office to make an appointment to meet with a professional staff member. Our office is located on the third floor of the University Center, Room 302, is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the fall and spring semester. Office hours during the summer are  from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
