SERVICES FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES

Southeast Missouri State University is committed to providing services for students with disabilities. Disability Support Services is the institutionally recognized program designed to provide federally mandated services for student with disabilities by ensuring equal access to curricular and co-curricular opportunities.

Students wishing to use academic accommodations that are associated with their disability should contact Disability Support Services to become registered as a student with a disability.

Accommodations are implemented on a case by case basis and are determined in conjunction with interviewing the student seeking services and by reviewing documentation that the student provides that substantiates the students disability.

Students seeking services should review the documentation guidelines linked below. It is important to note that IEP's from  high school and/or Section 504 plans do not always provide sufficient information to assist the student in getting registered.
