Look for Senior Learning Program Aquatics to return in the New Aquatics Center!  Although we are very disappointed Aquatics classes are not being offered at this time, we look forward to a new facility and encourage our participants to be enduring.



Pep Up Your Life

Experts say that weekly exercise helps you stay mentally sharp as well as physically fit.  This specially designed class will improve your strength, flexibility, and endurance.  Work out with others who share your interests and goals.  Call to enroll.

Tai Chi Chuan

An ancient art of self-discipline and body movements that can be very effective in reducing stress, and improving balance and providing a good workout. No special equipment or experience is necessary. Students will learn a sequence of postures to perform which will leave them mentally and physically relaxed.

Yoga

A basic introduction to the mental, physical, and spiritual benefits of yoga.  Beginning postures, meditations, and breathing techniques will be taught and practiced.  No previous knowledge of Yoga is required.  All students may participate regardless of your flexibility.

Computers

Computer Basics for the Beginner

If you feel intimidated by computers, ask those questions that you always wanted to ask about computers.  We will look at the computer hardware.  This is a basic course for those who want to become computer literate.  This course will include lecture, demonstration, keyboarding and mouse practice.  Limit 6.  Call to enroll.

Genealogy: "Family Tree Maker" and the Internet

This course will concentrate on the best techniques for filling in the genealogical data to the "Family Tree Maker" computer program.  Emphasis will be put on learning this particular program, NOT entering your personal family date into the program.  It will also explore genealogical resources on the Internet.  Prerequisite: Info pertaining to your family genealogy and some experience using a mouse on the computer. Limit 6. Call to enroll.

Exploring Internet & E-mail

A course designed to familiarize the student with the procedures and terminology of the Internet. Students will learn how to get on line and emphasis will be put on the exploration of E-mail. Come join the computer age! Limit 6. Call to enroll.

Word Processing

Microsoft Word is a quality word processor program that provides for full and complete creation, composition, revision, and management of word processing functions.  The course will cover the preparation of text, revision, editing, spell checking, fonts, saving and recalling, and printing.  Limit 6. Call to enroll.
