USB drives (i.e. "thumbdrives, "flash
drives", etc.) left in Open Labs are collected
periodically and delivered to the IT Help Desk. Help
Desk staff then review contents of the devices for owner
information. Once an owner is identified an email is
sent to the owner notifying them of the status of their
device, allowing 30 days for the owner to come to the
Help Desk to retrieve it.
If you receive such an email, please
visit the Help Desk during regular business hours and
bring a photo ID.
Note: Information Technology reserves
the right to install an automated identification file on
all flash & portable drives left in the open computer
labs, with the intended purpose of assisting users in
the future return of such devices. This file will be
removed upon request of the device owner.
