How to setup student email on an IOS device (iPhone, iPad, etc.)
1. On the main display, touch the Settings icon
2. Choose Mail, Contacts, Calendars
3. Choose Add Account
4. To add a student email account, choose Other, touch Add Mail Account and enter the following information:
Name:
Firstname Lastname
Address:
SoutheastKey@semo.edu
Password:
SE Key password Description: SEMO
5. Tap Next
6. The device will try to locate the SEMO server
7. Tap IMAP to make sure it is highlighted, and enter the following information:
Incoming Mail Server Host Name: student.semo.edu
Username: YourSoutheastKey
Password: SE Key password
Outgoing SMTP Mail Server Host Name: student.semo.edu
Username: YourSoutheastKey Password: SE Key password 8. Tap Next
Mail will verify your settings by connecting to the server. You will need to have a WiFi access or cellular Internet connection.
Note: Email on IOS devices requires saving
your password. Anyone who has access to your device may read and
send email on your account. You may want to consider turning on
Passcode Lock. This
will require typing in the passcode each time you access your
device. It will help protect your email and other data if your
device is lost or stolen.
