Missouri School for the Blind

The Missouri School for the Blind maintains a listing of individuals interested in providing VI or O&M services.  Contact the outreach services department at 314-776-4320, ext. 253. 

The Special Education Exchange

Provides a listing of professionals seeking employment, as well as a listing of agencies or school districts seeking employment.  School districts may submit a job listing through this site.

 AFB Community Center

The American Foundation for the Blind's web site has a "Job Listing" section under "Community" where you can find the latest employment opportunities available from within as well as other organizations. "Job Listings" will remain on AFB's web site for at least 60 days--unless an e-mail request is sent indicating otherwise.  Should you be interested in posting job opportunities on AFB's web site or have any questions, please feel free to contact Sara Hernandez via e-mail at sarah@afb.net. (You can send postings directly to her via e-mail a MSWord or HTML document once postings are ready).

When submitting employment opportunities to be posted in the
AFB Community Center, please be sure to include the following information:
Job title–
This will be the title of the position that is being listed.
Job type– Indicate from the following categories: "Administrative, Executive, Professional, Technical, or Other" the particular position appropriately fits under.
Organization's Name–List the organization offering employment.
Date to be posted– This date is the ideal date that the position would be posted on.
Date of expiration– Provide an estimated/approximate date as to when the position can be taken off the AFB web site.
Work Location– Include the city and state of employment.
Job Description--Brief synopsis of the specific employment to include as to what it entails.
Accountabilities--List or provide narrative of required experience, if appropriate.
Qualifications--List or provide narrative which includes the duties and responsibilities of the position.
Salary Range-Specify the salary range and indicate if negotiable, non-negotiable or not specified.
Contact Information–Please give a contact name, title of individual, telephone, fax, and e-mail as well as a web site URL address.
