Just letting you guys know that I haven't updated because of a lack
of internets and a string of personal issues that affected me wanting
to do anything at all, let alone update the site.
I'll resume
with updates starting tomorrow.

Anime Watched: Paprika
Old News: No meeting last week.
New News: T-Shirts came in! Hooray! But don't worry those of you who didn't receive
one, we'll be ordering t-shirts again next semester.
Our Halloween Party is next week so be sure to bring some snacks while wearing your best anime,
manga, or Japanese video game inspired costume. There will be a costume contest with neat prizes
to the top three!

Anime Watched: Howl's Moving Castle
Old News: Last week was the last week for T-Shirts. Power Plant Design contest over.
New News: Flier Contest is over without any submissions, how unfortunate.
We also took Member Information and Pictures which will go up on the site in the
next couple of days.

dollars incentive, but that's okay. I am pretty good at making fliers

Anime Watched: Interstella

Old News: This week was the last week for T-Shirt money. Next week, we'll
be taking a member census. For real this time.
New News: Congratulations to Heather and Breanna on their winning
submissions for the Power Plant design contest! Keep in mind that
there is ONE WEEK LEFT for the Flier contest. Submit your best flier
idea for an 8.5 x 11 Priter Sheet and win a quick $10. All flier
submissions will be used in Flier Navy.
Remember that we
won't be meeting in University Room next week, we will be meeting in
Room 205, next to the Center for Student Involvement.

Chalk Army is this Sunday at 7PM at the Kent Library Fountain, be sure to be there Chalk Army!
Speaking of committees, I'm holding a neat little contest with $10 out of my own pocket as the prize. Create the best flier to fit on a 8.5" x 11" Printer Sheet and win. We will be using all submissions for Flier Navy, but only the best will receive the prize.

Our first Game Night was a "smashing" success. The real fun was outside playing Mafia, though. I had a lot of fun and many lulz were had. Keep in mind you guys that we have a GAME NIGHT or SPECIAL EVENT every month! Next Month is our Halloween Party/Cosplay contest, so get started on your anime costumes!

Old News: Group Dues. Pay them, SO# and all that rot. Also, T-Shirts and Power Plant Design contest.
New News: Committees! We're having open volunteering for these,
so be sure to let the appropriate board member know which ones you would like to participate in!
Remember that this Thursday is our first GAME NIGHT. We'll be pitting member against member in an
all-out Swiss-style Super Smash Bros. BRAWL Tournament!

employment, but I should be able to make it to the rest of the meetings from here on out.
I'm looking forward to GAME NIGHT this week, I get the feeling that our Vice President might walk
away victorious with this one.

Anime Watched: Excel
Saga
Old News: Group Dues. Pay them, ect.
New News: T-Shirts can be purchased now just by showing up to the
meetings. Order ASAP to guarantee you get one.
When you pay dues, be sure to give us your SO#.
This isn't something we've done before, but it's something we were supposed to do all along.
We'll stick to the SO guidelines this year or else Anime Party is done, and none of us want that!
Don't fret if you aren't a SEMO student, just tell us and
we'll write you down as an Active Member/Non-Student. Any and all are welcome!
There is a contest underway for our Power Plant design. Come up with the best design and win a vintage
Anime Party T-Shirt. We have many in all sizes, so feel free to join in!

I'm very exicted to see our numbers dropping to the memebers we'll keep for the year. We had some people showing up for all the wrong reasons
so it's awesome to see the people who want to be there for the right reasons.
Be sure to show up to our next meeting, September 17th @7PM in the University Room! We'll be discussing this month's game night!

We're sorry to announce this so late, but September 3rd's Anime Party
meeting at Dearmont has been cancelled. There were some mix-ups in securing the Dearmont lounge,
which turned out for the worse.
We will meet Next Thursday, the 10th, in the University
Room at 7PM for our second meeting.
We hope to see you all there!

As some of you may or may not remember, we have the University
Room every meeting except for this week because of Greek Week.
Instead we will be meeting in the Dearmont Lounge at 7 PM. We will go back to the University Room
for every meeting after that.
If you have any questions on how to get there or really any questions at all, feel free to click

is usually always online.

Anime Watched: Ghost Stories
Old News: Chalk Army ensued, we hoped for a huge success.
New News: CHALK ARMY WAS A HUGE SUCCESS! We filled the University Room, which was accomodated to fit around
40~50 people AND on top of all that we had people waiting outside too! Unfortunately, as the night progressed, we
had more and more people leave for various reasons... The people that remained still blew my mind.

I want to personally welcome any and all new members to keep coming back. The first meeting was a little long
because, of course, it was the first meeting. I assure any returning members we'll get to the anime viewing
faster as the semester continues, if that was an issue for some of you.
Again, thank you new members. We hope to see you come back as we wait the next few weeks out, seeing who
will stay on as members.

As you guys know, the SEMO Fall '09 Semester starts in just a couple of days,
which means Anime Party is right around the corner.
Just a reminder to you all,
the first Anime Party meeting of the semester will be on Thursday the 27th at 7 PM in the University Room, 4th Floor of the University Center.
We hope to see you all there!

Heather Kearnes, our fabulous '09-'10 Anime Party president
has finally reserved us a room for the year.
The meeting will be located in the University Room on the 4th Floor of the University Center.
Unfortunately, there are two Thursdays that this room is reserved to other groups.
On those days we will be in Room 205 which is on the bottom floor of
the University Center, near the Center for Student Involvement(CSI).
After the first meeting, I will post the room schedule to the forums calendar and send global messages
directly to your e-mail inbox a few days before a meeting so you'll have all the information.
If you do not have an account on the Forum, you should make one now by following the link to the left.
I also suggest that any members or newcomers interested in Anime Party, join the Facebook group!

The constitution is now up for public
reading. Anyone wanting to get into the fine print of Anime Party
and being a memeber should look over this at their earliest
convenience. You can find a link to it on the About Us page or you can download it using
this link.

This is Damian Todd here, your '09-'10
SEMO Anime Party Webmaster. I set a deadline for August 1st for the
new site to be up and I've met it with days to spare. I hope you all
enjoy it because it took me over 9(000) hours to work on. Now enough
of all that, now on to YOU!
I hope you guys are ready for the new
semester as it is coming up quick. Some of us can't wait to go back
to SEMO to break the now lack of activities left this Summer while
others are trying to put it off as long as possible. Whichever you
are, Anime Party will still be here.
The first meeting of the new
semester will be on August 27th at 7PM. We don't have a confirmation
on the room we'll be in, but I'll be sure to put it right here on
the front page when we get word.
