  The MOSCB Executive Board election is held during the MOSCB Annual Meeting at the Missouri Natural Resources Conference. Board position responsibilities are listed below. 

President: responsible for organizing and presiding over meetings, and representing the chapter on business with the international SCB 

Vice President: receive reports from committees, arrange meetings and other activities, and perform the duties of the President when the latter is absent 

Treasurer: responsible for maintaining accounts, collecting and distributing funds for chapter activities, and coordinating fundraising activities 

Secretary: responsible for recording minutes, administers correspondence between the chapter and the SCB, and maintains historical records and roster of members 

Conservation Chair: responsible for publishing the newsletter, as well as maintaining the chapter web site, email account and listserv 

A member may nominate themselves or any other member. Please note that in accordance with SCB bylaws, all board officers must be SCB members. Please be sure to get involved with the nomination/election process.

Current Board Member Profiles: 

President - Alan Journet
Alan teaches ecology, conservation biology, and introductory (majors and non-majors) biology at Southeast Missouri State University.  He conducts research on tropical moist forest restoration in Costa Rica and bottomland hardwood forest management in Missouri (at Big Oak Tree State Park). 

Vice President - Nadia Navarrette-Tindall
Nadia is a researcher at the University of Missouri-Columbia working on native plants.

Secretary- Stephanie Manka
Stephanie is a graduate student in the School of Natural resources at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Treasurer- Esther Stroh
Esther is an ecologist with the US Geological Survey. Her primary research interests include genetics and dynamics of small or isolated plant populations, and plant community ecology.
